IFF: Delta

Italian star duo Alessandro Borghi and Luigi Lo Cascio deliver standout performances in this clash between local fishermen and poachers on the Po River Delta in northeastern Italy. A local group of volunteers led by Osso (Lo Cascio) wants to save the river from overfishing and defend it from the Florians, a family on the run from the Danube region who are plundering the river’s fish stocks and flouting fishing laws. With the Florians is Elia (Borghi), a man born and raised in the Delta, who once was part of the local community but now finds himself on the opposite side of the conflict. Overwhelmed by a thirst for vengeance, the two men will face each other amidst the fog of the Delta.
